FCA Basketball - Girls Only!

This camp is designed to help grow their skills, IQ, athleticism, and love of the game of basketball. This is the perfect prep for girls looking to play on a school team.

Dates: Monday's and Wednesday's During June and July (off the week of the 4th)

(June 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26 July 8, 10, 15, 17) 10 Sessions

Times: 3:30-5p

Grades: 5th-8th girls only

Location: Wheaton Academy Field House courts

This course is for rising 6th, 7th, and 8th grade athletes who want an introduction into the weight room. Athletes will learn proper form, technique, and the mechanics behind each lift. No heavy loading. Each day will be a workout.

Learn your way around the weight room. Get comfortable with a new type of soreness. Learn more about your body, its mechanics, and how each muscle works.

The second hour will be all about exercises and techniques for building foot speed and explosiveness.

Dates: June 4th - July 2nd (9 sessions)

Total 18 hours of coaching - roughly $12 per hour

Lead FCA Strength Coach - Elliot Thompson - Performance Coach and Teacher at Wheaton Academy - a certified personal trainer with NASM and ISSA weightlifting. Certified USA weightlifting level 2 coach. ISSA and NASM sports nutrition certified. Have my CSCS through the NSCA. I have 6 years strength coaching experience at the high school and college level. Played college soccer and accumulated multiple accolades, including POY and multiple all conference awards.

The MS Girls and Boys camp will focus on instruction and reps with individual skills, as well as focus on team-based drills and scrimmage situations. Players are welcome to come as individuals or come as a team.

Dates: June 3rd - 6th (Monday - Thursday)

Times: 12 noon - 2:30pm

Location: Wheaton Academy Field House

The Elementary Girls and Boys camp is designed to teach the game and skills of volleyball to young players. Coaches will use fun drills to keep campers engaged and learning.

The Elementary Multi-Sport Girls and Boys camp is a fun four days of learning and playing multiple sports and activities. Always one of the most popular camps for elementary kids.

Dates: June 17th - June 20th (Monday - Thursday)

Times: 9 - 11:30 am

Location: Wheaton Academy Field House and Outdoor Fields

Maximum - 60 participants

The MS Boys and Girls Basketball Camp is designed for players that are currently playing or getting ready to play competitive basketball. This camp is open to both Boys and Girls.

Coaches will work with players to refine fundamentals, increase basketball IQ, and prepare to compete. 

Skills include: ball control, decision making, shooting, ball handling, getting to the rim, catch and shoot for a quick release.

 

Players will scrimmage every day in camp.
