FCA Basketball 2022-23 Winter Season
FCA Basketball will follow guidelines for practice and play from Wheaton Academy and the DYTBL. Both of these organizations are setting guidelines based on input from IHSA, and state and local health organizations.
Each year many of our players participate in both FCA Basketball and their school team basketball. FCA Basketball is a great way to prepare for your upcoming season and our current schedule should allow for players that are interested to participate in both. Most FCA basketball players, particularly at the older levels, have been successful in playing for both school and FCA.
Practices: Begin in late October and will run through the end of February. Practices are held in the Field House at Wheaton Academy.
Dates and Times: FCA Basketball will practice on Monday and Thursday evenings during the season. Practice times will be according to teams. Slots are 6-7:30p or 7:30-9p.
NOTE - these times are set based on expected participation. Should those numbers change, FCA reserves the right to alter the schedule to fit participation. Amount of time would not change, only the schedule times.
Speed and agility work: We will continue to incorporate speed and agility work in our weekly sessions as we believe it is essential in athletic development.
Uniforms: FCA Basketball uniforms and shooting shirts will be provided for all players.
Games: FCA Basketball competes in the Dupage Youth Travel Basketball Association (DYTBL). Typical season is 14-16 games plus the playoffs. Half the games will be at Wheaton Academy and half the games will be away. Typical travel distance is less than 30 minutes away.
Fees include: Gym rentals, league fees, officials for home games, player uniform, insurance, coach’s stipend. FCA Basketball does not want the program cost to be the reason that a player is unable to participate. We have some scholarship dollars available. Please contact us if you have a need.
Fees for '22-'23 season: Our team fees typically range from $450 - $500 per player for the season. Fees will be available when evaluation registration is posted the week of August 22nd.

- FCA Basketball is a faith-based sports program that focuses on both character and skill development because we believe that both are necessary to compete and grow.
- FCA Basketball includes speed and agility training because we believe developing excellent fundamental movement skills is crucial to the long-term development of your athlete.
- FCA Basketball utilizes coaches with experience in coaching and training young basketball players and does so with the vision of instilling the love of the game. We believe we are setting the foundations that will help carry your player on into high school.
- FCA Basketball competes. Three of the six FCA teams in the DYTBL finished either 1st or 2nd in their divisions last season. The OneDayShootout teams have had success with a number of tournament wins over the last several seasons.
- FCA Basketball works our schedule so that your player can participate and play for both your school team and FCA Basketball, if that is the case, with a minimum of conflict.

All practices will be held at Wheaton Academy (900 Prince Crossing Rd., West Chicago) in the Field House.
