Our Vision, Mission, and Philosophy

Mission

To challenge coaches and athletes with the adventure of receiving and serving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

To create and provide youth athletic programs where the development of the athlete’s character, confidence, and identity is coached as strongly as the skills of the sport.

To run a financially responsible program that provides an excellent value to participants.

Vision

To see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes and to support the ministry of Wheaton Academy.

Values

Our relationships will demonstrate steadfast commitment to Jesus Christ and His Word through Integrity (demonstrate Christ-like wholeness, privately and publicly), Service (model Jesus’ example of serving), Teamwork (express our unity in Christ), and Excellence (honor and glorify God in all we do).

Philosophy

Our tag line is Athletics with a Purpose and that purpose is to offer youth sports programs where the development of a child's character and confidence is coached as strongly as the skills of a sport.

Our model is long-term athletic development that incorporates the individual’s Heart, Soul, Mind, and Strength.

Often times a program's chief focus is on the goal of winning. We believe that simply focusing on winning creates a fixed mindset that is often accompanied by short-range, outcome-based thinking that views mistakes as failure.

Instead, we choose to set our goals on the growth of the athlete as an individual and that individuals must be developed completely in order to selflessly strive for excellence, where winning will be the result of development, not in place of it.

We believe that God’s greatest commandment is to love Him with our heart, soul, mind, and strength. We believe that these four elements can be introduced and cultivated through sports. We believe that the result will be a fully developed athlete capable of competing in any arena, under any condition, not for their personal glory but for the glory of God.
